Lauren Santucci is an award-winning documentary director, producer, and cinematographer.
Her short documentary, Teddy, screened at over 20 film festivals, where it was recognized with both a Special Jury Mention and Audience Award at the Atlanta Film Festival. Teddy became Oscar-qualified after a theatrical run at DCTV. It was distributed on PBS Reel South and garnered a Vimeo Staff Pick.
As a cinematographer, the films she has worked on have screened at festivals such as Sundance, SXSW, Telluride, and DOC NYC. She has a background in visual journalism and currently works at Texas Monthly, where she produces the PBS docu-series, Texas Monthly Presents.
Lauren is directing her second short film, Untitled Gun Buyback Documentary, which was selected for the 2025 Austin Film Society’s Short Film Grant and 2026 Documentary Intensive.
